Default 68 cruiser rebuild. ( left overs the shorty)

Picked up a shorty yesterday cost me a 308 starter motor and an inspection cover for clutch. isn't she beautiful
is a 1968/69 model

Don't know exactly what I'm going to build out it. Some sort of buggy maybe.
got a few bits laying around from building my ute, and other stuff from wrecking a couple of forbys,

Last nights efforts
Pulled rear diff so i can move perches and put it under springs, also made some new spring shackles for rear.

extended shackle next to original

Can anyone tell me the easiest way to relocate the rear diff so's it sits back further. Say about 100mm

pulled a big patch of fibre glass off floor and found this

Also been haven a go at the front end

Added a bit of strength to the chassis. still needs a couple more welds, but will be getting a mate to do those. I don't feel confident enough in my welding abilities to tackle the vertical welds on chassis. And he's got a dirty big mig. I've only got a baby stick welder

Have also removed front diff and springs.

Cheers Steve

Not sure about shorties but Mq/MK patrol wagon springs are shorter in the front section so you can end for end them to sit diff further back
