Anyone swapped their stock hilux rear leaves up front ? I'm very seriously looking into it and just wondering if anyone had any advice/horror stories/experiences etc.

Huh huh, Done!
Finished it off this afternoon. It moves your front diff forward 1.5"'s. I gained an extra 1.5" in height and it put my steering out 180 degrees.
And what an improved ride!
But now I have a whole nother shopping list as bits and pieces no longer fit.

For the front shackles I fabbed up some banana shackles out of 8-10 mm mild steel. For the rears I'm still running stock shackles, but will be replacing them with scissor shackles soon.
For the shocks I got some Ranchos. I also welded in some shock hoops. I wasn't too keen on the hoops after putting them in. They didn't give me enough travel room. I'm going to replace them with some adjustable front mounts I'll design some time soon.
My rears were just stock 1984 rears and I got that list. With sagged 4" lifted rearsyou should get heaps of height, however to get that height they often bend them so much which actually makes the springs shorter eye - eye. It's the length of travel, not so much the height I was after.
